Business and Manufacturing Sectors

If you want to live in one of the places in the United States where finding a job is as little hassle as possible, Montgomery may be the place for you. The city has a lot of things going for it. First of all, it is the capital, which means there are lots of government related businesses including utility locating and other contracting work. The presence of the state government means that there are also a lot of spin off opportunities created for employment.

Next, Montgomery has long been known as an industrial hub, perfectly located because of the nearby river and intersecting rail lines. This means that manufacturers and big business can cut down on costs by creating goods near to major transportation lines. The city is in the heart of one of the most fertile areas of the United States of America, making it an ideal zone for processing agricultural product and for launching food media campaigns. And let's face it, being in one of the poorer states doesn't hurt the economy of Montgomery either. People will work for a lot less, and that is what any businessman likes to hear.

The result is that both business and manufacturing are thriving in the city of Montgomery, even in the middle of this financial crisis. These areas account for almost 30% of the overall economic activity of the city of Montgomery. That is a pretty impressive figure, considering again that commercial mortgage lenders have a lot of their capital locked up in government related businesses (government has about 25% of all the jobs in the city). These sectors are thriving so much here that in the daytime, the population of Montgomery actually rises by a full 17% as people from outlying areas make their way into work.

The range of industries represented in Montgomery is truly vast. Three of the largest employers in the city are a part of the manufacturing sector. The largest of these is a big auto manufacturer, though not a domestic one. Hyundai operates one of its few American plants out of Montgomery, and employs over 3000 people at it. While no vacuum trucks or other industrial vehicles come off the lines here, it is one of the few auto plants which has not been in trouble over the last five decades.

Rheem water heaters and 754th Electronics Systems Group are also major players in the economy of Montgomery. Both employ large numbers of the city's population, which in turn means they supply many spin off jobs.

You don't have to worry about whether or not current gold and silver prices will help your investments make your mortgage payments when you move to Montgomery. A stable economy rooted in business and manufacturing means that job prospects are very bright.
