Entertainment Alternatives in Montgomery, AL

Montgomery is well known as the birthplace of both the Civil War and the Civil Rights Movement, Montgomery has done well to preserve much of its history through an assortment of museums, memorials and other such attractions. However, this city is not just limited to its history. There are plenty of attractions that stand out on their own as popular places for tourists and residents alike.

There are a bunch of annual festivals and events that are held throughout the city, some of them being the Riverfront Alabama Highland Games, Alabama Junior Miss Pageant, the Alabama National Fair, and many, many more.

There are over 54 parks that feature ballparks, horticulture, jogging, walking, and biking paths, picnic shelters, picnic tables, playgrounds, and football fields.

Sports are something that this city is certainly not lacking in. There are baseball, basketball, bowling, fishing, football, golf, racing, rodeo, skateboarding, soccer, softball, tennis, and yes, the all-time favorite, Video Bingo.

There are also 3 Malls: EastChase, Eastdale Mall, and Montgomery Mall. There are also an assortment of antique and specialty stores as well for your shopping pleasure.
